Printing form design and preparation


With constant investments in the quality of our products and services, the design and preparation sector has a very important role in the development and enhancement of the quality level.

The knowledge and experience of our designers, together with the most modern information programs in the field of graphic preparation and printing, enable fast implementation of solutions and high quality of final products. We achieve keeping up with world trends through upgrading the old and purchasing new equipment and programs, especially through education and improvement of employees.

Following the procedures of ISO standards, management conducts procedures for establishing and reviewing requirements that relate to the product-subject of sale, with the goal from the offer procedure to the realization of the contract-delivery, to satisfy the requirements and expectations of the consumer-buyer.

Laminating

Laminating is the bonding of different types of foils using different types of adhesives.

We possess laminating machines for widths up to 1300mm with speeds up to 250m/min.

Laminating is carried out on a Bonardi Mecbi machine. In addition to classic laminating, we also perform exclusive paper lamination - bonding polyethylene to paper directly without adhesive for widths up to 1100mm.

Line for coating, respectively plastification and lamination of paper. The plastification process is carried out through polyethylene (PE) extrusion.

The line has two extruders and two unwinding devices, so in one pass a laminate can be made and it can be covered with PE - respectively plastified.

The plastification line has devices for automatic roll change on the unwinder and a device for winding the finished product.

Automatic roll change ensures a continuous working process with stable working conditions, which is very important for the quality of the finished product.

The extruders are equipped with automatic feeders with silos, which ensures easy and continuous feeding of the extruder.

The automatic feeders have a system for purifying PE from small contaminants such as dust, which can create problems during extrusion.

The extruders have the most modern thermo-regulators with thermocouples, thermometers for measuring the temperature of molten PE, barometers, and a device for automatic sieve change.

The designer then makes a drawing – picture of the packing (developed state). Through a constant contact with the customer, the best solution for the customer is brought into accord and a cliché is being made after accepting the solution. Manufactured quality clichés are put away in a cliché production area and are stored with customer’s packing samples.

Laminating and plastic coating

Laminating is joining different types of paper materials in the form of a strip by using different types of glues. We possess laminating machines for widths up to 1,300mm at speeds up to 250 mm/minute. Laminating is carried out on the machine BONARDI MECBI. Besides classical laminating, we also do exclusive paper lamination – joining polyethylene to the paper directly, without using glue, for widths up to 1,100 mm.

Paper coating i.e.  paper plastic coating and laminating line. Plastic coating process is carried out by polyethylene extrusion (PE). The line has two extruders and two unwinding units, therefore it is possible to make a laminate and do its PE – i.e. plastic coating in a single pass. Plastic coating line possesses units for an automatic roll change on an unwinding unit and on a finished product winding unit. Automatic roll change secures continual operation with stable working conditions, which is very significant for the finished product quality.

Extruders are equipped with automatic feeders with a silo, which provides an easy and continuous extruder feeding. Automatic feeders have a system of filtering small dirt particles such as dust from PE, otherwise they may create problems during extrusion. The line possesses a unit for setting cooling water temperature, paper overheating unit, prime coating unit, a drying chamber for the applied prime coat and paper of inadequate moisture. Extruders have the most sophisticated thermo-regulators with thermo-pairs, thermometers for measuring melted PE temperature, barometers and an automatic sieve changing unit.

Production of paper bags


Basic activity of our paper packing plant is production of paper bags , i.e. manufacturing different types of paper bags and paper products, which can be divided into four groups :

1. Bags for mill industry, powder and grain products, sugar, teas (single layer) and small bags for the civil engineering industry (painting mass, façade glues…) and barbecue coal (double layer).

2. Commercial packing : different types of bags with or without a handle with a square or a flat bottom (toast bags, pancake cornets, popcorn bags…). Advertising bags can have internal and external handles, as well as their positioning on the envelope according to the client's requirements.

3. Packing made of coated and non–coated paper i.e. coffee packing bags.

The requirements of buyers in the market for flexible and paper packaging increase proportionally with the increase of their business.

This makes us responsible and we manage to respond with precise quality and speed.

In this regard, EKO PAK D.O.O. within its production, as a separate process unit, also owns a system for gravimetric dosing and formulation of printing NC inks for gravure and flexo printing (INK MAKER- DOSING AND DISPENSING UNIT), which ensures timeliness and high quality repeatability of the defined ink shades by the customers.
